Our Vision & Values
Founded by the Woodhouse and Barton families in 1948, Sandicliffe is now led by the second and third generations, both with day-to-day roles within the company today. The family values of customer service, integrity and responsibility to the local community still drive this group and have helped turn it into a £170m success story.

Environment
As Sandicliffe carefully grows, it also recognises the importance of its environmental responsibilities, monitors its impact on the environment, and designs and implements policies to mitigate any adverse impact that might be caused by its activities.

History
Sandicliffe Garage Limited was founded in 1948 by Mr. J R Woodhouse and Mr. T H Barton as a service station on Nottingham Road, Stapleford.

Awards and PR
Sandicliffe Motor Group, the East Midlands family-owned car retailer, has continued its bumper start to the year after scooping a hat trick at the 2008 AM Awards - seen as the Oscars of the Motor Industry. The Motor Group has already posted its best ever sales results for the New Year period, against a backdrop of declining UK industry car sales.
Sandicliffe came out on top, scooping the coveted award for Excellence in Customer Service, the inaugural award for Best Environmental Policy, in recognition of its eco policies - and Best Marketing for the third year running. It was also nominated for Best Retail Group (more than 10 sites) and Best Training Programme.
The ceremony, attended by over 1200 Senior Motor Industry Management, took place at the ICC in Birmingham and was a celebration of the best of the motoring industry across the country. Hosted by BBC's Huw Edwards, the awards honour outstanding motor groups across the industry; widely respected, they are both entered and attended by companies of all sizes in all sectors.
